✨ ProfessorCut
Type how to cut it.
ProfessorCut reads your instruction, plans the edit from your shots and what was said in them, and the app makes that cut from your own footage.

Use the speaker's audio the whole way. Cut between the band and the crowd every 4 seconds, and be back on the speaker whenever he starts a sentence.
Audio from Host 0:00 throughout. Cutting between Cam 1 0:00, Cam 2 0:30, Host 0:00 every 4s, back on Host 0:00 when a sentence starts. 2:00 long.
What you can ask for
Switch between cameras on a beat you choose
“Switch cameras every 5 seconds.”
Hit a length, keeping whole sentences
“Make a 1 minute version.”
Play one phone's audio under every camera
“Use the speaker's audio the whole way and cut between the band and the crowd every 4 seconds.”
Come back to whoever starts talking
“Be back on the speaker whenever he starts a sentence.”
Lay footage from another moment over the voice
“Take 10 seconds of [Host 0:30]'s audio and play it over 10 seconds of [Cam 1 21:44].”
Keep or cut out a part
“Only use 1:00 to 1:30.”
Reframe one phone into a close-up
“Zoom in close on the speaker when he says thank you and good night.”
Show a specific shot you tap while typing
“10 seconds: [Cam 1 21:44] for the first 5 seconds, then [Host 0:30] for 5 seconds.”
It tells you what it did.
After every cut you get a plain summary. This one is from a real run:
“Audio from Host 0:30 throughout. 1 b-roll insert from other moments. 0:10 long.”
If part of your instruction is something it can't do yet, like slow motion or a music track, it says “Couldn't do” instead of quietly skipping it.
- It only uses your footage. Every frame comes from your phones. Nothing is generated.
- The same plan gives the same cut. The AI writes an edit plan; the app carries it out exactly.
- Keep tweaking. Every result opens in the editor, and each version is saved.
- Tap shots while you type. Name a shot exactly, or add a note just for that shot.
