ProfessorCut Privacy Policy

Effective October 8, 2026

ProfessorCut films and edits on your iPhone. Your videos stay on your phone unless you choose to send one to another phone in a shoot. This policy explains what leaves your phone, why, how long it's kept, and how to delete it.

What we collect

ProfessorCut's automatic editing (AI)

ProfessorCut asks for your permission before its first automatic edit. If you allow it, then during an edit:

What we don't do

Who processes your data

We use a small number of service providers to run ProfessorCut: cloud hosting and storage, and an AI service for automatic editing. They process data only to provide those services to us. Sign-in is handled by Apple.

How long we keep it

Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app (Delete account). That deletes your account, the shoots you started and everything stored about them, your sign-ins, and your app activity, and it removes clips waiting in our storage. Clips you already sent to other people's shoots stay with those shoots, since they belong to them now. On the phone you delete from, the videos of shoots you started are deleted too. Error reports and server logs expire on their own within 30 days.

Children

ProfessorCut isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. Gyms and families often film young athletes; those videos stay on the phones that recorded them unless someone sends them to a shoot.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access to your account's data is limited to you and the shoots you belong to, and our storage isn't publicly accessible.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above.
