ProfessorCut Terms of Use

Effective October 23, 2026

These terms cover the ProfessorCut app, joining a shoot from a web browser, and professorcut.com. By using any of them, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use ProfessorCut.

Shoots, hosts and joiners

The host is whoever starts a shoot. A joiner is anyone who films for it, from the app or a browser, and sends clips to the host.

Clips you send to a shoot

When you send clips to a shoot, you give the host a permanent, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to keep, copy, edit, combine, publish and share those clips, in whole or in part, in any media and for any purpose, including promotion, without paying you or crediting you. The host can pass these rights on to others. You keep any other rights you have in your clips.

Only send clips you made yourself or have the right to share. Clips can't be taken back from the host once they've been sent.

People in your videos

Your own videos

Videos you record and edit stay yours. We don't claim any rights to them, and we don't keep copies, as the Privacy Policy explains.

AI features

ProfessorCut's AI features suggest edits, captions and text. Check what they produce before you post it; you're responsible for what you publish.

Acceptable use

We can suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms.

Purchases

Paid features in the app, if offered, are sold through Apple, and Apple's purchase terms apply to them.

No warranty

ProfessorCut is provided as is. We work to keep it running and your clips safe, but we don't promise it will always be available or error-free, or that every clip will arrive. Keep your own copies of anything important.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost videos, data or profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it, or $50 if you paid nothing.

Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it, and isn't responsible for any claims about it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and can enforce them against you.

Changes

If these terms change, we'll update the date above. Using ProfessorCut after a change means you accept it.
